Free School Meals

We are sorry that your child is unable to attend school but please be reassured we are available if you need support or have any questions at this time.

The Government reinstated the voucher scheme on January 18th to ensure that all families registered for Free School Meals (this is not the same as the universal free lunches offered to all children in Reception, Year 1 and 2) are able to provide their children with a lunch during school closures.

The Government are providing £15 per week (£3 per day) for children not in school.

Vouchers have been ordered for all eligible families until half term.  This will be delivered as an email from Edenred containing an e-code.  This code enables you to redeem your supermarket vouchers. Please check your 'junk' folder for this email.

After half-term if you would prefer a weekly food parcel prepared at school by our kitchen team, please let a member of staff know in the school office. As before, the food parcel will include the essential items you will need to prepare a lunch for your child each day. If you order one, the food parcels will be available for you to collect from St Margaret's school every Monday between 10:30 and 11:30am.

* Please note, if you are currently isolating, we will deliver your food parcel to you.  Please contact the school office to arrange this.

Change4Life have created recipes and shopping lists for families which can be used to create lunches for around £15 each week.  Click here to take you to their website.

M&S will give extra support to families by funding an additional £5 per week for each £15 lunch voucher redeemed at M&S via the Government’s free school meals scheme in England.

If your circumstances have changed, or if you have never checked to see if you are eligible, please log into the portal and see if you are eligible today!
If you are successful, please email the school a screenshot of your confirmation and will begin ordering vouchers, or providing free lunches immediately.  This cannot be backdated, so please do not delay.
